German golfer Martin Kaymer was interviewed at the end of season Dubai World Championship in November. When asked "what's next for Martin Kaymer"?, his reply was nothing of going to relax, take a holiday, go on the razz or whatever. Rather, "looking back on last season and determining what went well and not so well..." followed by "spending the next few weeks setting my goals for 2011........"
I was struck then by his focus - note "next few weeks". How many of us have even written down our goals for 2011 let alone spend even a day doing it? Kaymer is a huge example on goal setting, focus, drive and determination - 3 qualities that I predicted in November will see him reach the World No 1 slot soon and possibly even eclipse Tiger Woods' record in time.
