Welcome to K2 Base Camp - compared to the past week's trek, a considerably colder and windier place than we've experienced to date. The views are spectacular, or were before the weather closed in. The past two days have thus been spent sorting out gear and equipment ready for our first foray up the mountain. And the important matter of holding a Puja ceremony, one additional advantage of having Sherpas on our team. There are 5 small teams here at Base Camp from various countries of the World and everyone is friendly and co-operating with each other fully - a great start to our month to 6 weeks here. All we need now is some good weather - forecast for Wed onwards.
