Trekking the Land of the Thunder Dragon with record-breaking adventurer, Adrian Hayes, and Gulf for Good

British record-breaking adventurer and leadership consultant, Adrian Hayes, has announced he will be leading a self-discovery trek through the remote Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan this autumn in partnership with Gulf for Good.

Adrian Hayes is leading a life-changing journey, trekking through the last surviving Kingdom of the Himalayas with Gulf for Good from 6 - 14 April 2018. The first challenge of its kind in the region, Adrian will lead this week long trek through the mountains, delivering inspiring daily workshops on personal growth, leadership, and team development. Unlike anywhere else on earth, Bhutan is a mystical kingdom filled with dense forests, impressive mountains, ancient monasteries, and a culture unchanged by and isolated from the modern world; this will be a test of physical fitness as well as an opportunity for self-discovery in a spectacular, unspoiled country steeped in ancient history and tradition.

“This trek is not about summitting Everest; instead about overcoming the ‘Everest’ within all of us”, says the Nepalese speaking Everest and K2 summiteer. “We will be doing some ground-breaking and change inducing development and self-growth work, suitable for all ages, genders, and backgrounds”, adds the professional coach, who presents speeches, programmes, and seminars across the world.

Hayes will offer insight to challengers on leveraging strengths and goal setting, maximising potential, comfort zones and overcoming challenges, as well as leadership and real teamwork.

Hayes leads this challenge in partnership with Gulf for Good, a UAE based charity of which he is an ambassador, with challengers raising funds for the Mission Himalaya Children’s Eco Home & Farm in Nepal, a self-sustaining orphanage for abandoned children.

“We are proud to announce this challenge as a real first of its kind in the region”, says Brian Wilkie, Chairman of Gulf for Good. “Offering a unique opportunity for people to spend a week of learning and development with Adrian in one of the most beautiful and remote countries in the world”, he adds. “The trek will be physically challenging, but certainly doable by anyone with determination and commitment.”
