'Footsteps of Thesiger' - my book detailing our 44 day/1600 km journey by camel and foot across the Empty Quarter in the trail of legendary 1940s explorer Sir Wilfred Thesiger, forwarded by Sir Ranulph Fiennes - was officially launched in the UAE last night and is now available in book stores across the country retailing at AED 155 soft copy, AED 225 hardback. It will be available worldwide via Amazon in a few weeks' time.
For those in the UAE, there will be a number of public events upcoming, including my speaking at the Emirates Literary Festival on Saturday 9th March at 1330 hrs. The documentary film of the expedition has been purchased by Discovery Channel and will be broadcast worldwide in May.
