I like football but the institution that runs it (FIFA) is undemocratic, inept, wasteful, corrupt, ridden with vested interests, devoid of true leadership, driven by power and control, incapable of reform and all but broken. Sounds slightly familiar… I love Europe, am pro-Europe and pro-European – but time for a new 'European Alliance’ to form out of the leadership and repercussions of Brexit.
For the undeniable truth is that the EU shows all the hallmarks of FIFA and is simply not living in the real world. Far from providing the peace and stability of its noble origins, the unelected EU machine is creating more division, more friction, more misery and more resultant extremism than ever before as it relentlessly pursues its outdated ideology and principles, centralized control and economic growth against all reality and no matter the cost – to employment, society, sovereignty or sustainability.
A new 'European Alliance’, built on close co-operation, trade, security and community, can be formed - but only if the whole institution is shaken by Britain taking a stand and saying enough is enough. Brexit is for Britain but also a freedom call for all of our friends across Europe. Vote leave for change.
